STUDENTS QUESTION THE DEMON DRINK
Coventry University students project images onto the walls of the cathedral ruins
Two students of Coventry University are putting on a photographic exhibition projected onto the walls of the Coventry cathedral ruins. Annie Massey and Kat page, second year students studying in Cov Uni’s Media Production course have been questioning the youth drinking culture that surrounds the country. The cathedral ruins provide a perfect setting for this exhibition as a representation of the breakdown of morals, dignity and kindness that occurs on nights out. In a more literal sense, the grandparents of those who drink today would have fought in the war that destroyed the famed cathedral. They fought for their grandchildren’s freedom, a freedom that is used now to negate every dignified moral that the great British people stood for all those years ago. The exhibition will take place on the 19th of May 2006 on the cathedral outer walls at 10.00pm -12.00am
