Through my position at Source Radio I helped to organise the event 'Rock Out 54' I designed the poster and provided the DJs for the event. I also used my connections to provide bands and PA systems. Questionnaires sent rond throughout the event recorded the musical preferences of the 1000+ students in attendance. I was then able to adjust the musical mix in each of the 3 rooms available in accordance with the public.
After achieving the funding from the University to gain an AM license for the station (see the proposal here) the switchover took the shape of a party in the student's union venue. 1500+ students attended and we broadcast the event live on the radio, we also gave out promotional glow sticks.
